Paz Mara Salazar Schettino

Biography :
Dr. Paz María Silvia Salazar Schettino is a full professor emeritus in the Department of Microbiology and Parasitology at UNAM, a member of the National System of Researchers (SNI), and a titular member of the Mexican Academy of Sciences, with 55 years of scientific and teaching career. She has led research on Chagas disease, publishing over 123 articles, two books, and 31 book chapters. She has trained numerous graduate students, coordinated national and international projects, and received multiple honors, including the Sor Juana Inés de la Cruz Medal (2013).
